IRMO researcher Paško Bilić participated in the 10th annual conference of the Sociology of Development section of the American Sociological Association, which was held in Washington, D.C., from October 18 to 20. The conference was hosted by the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center, and the School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS). The program covered various topics of international development, such as poverty, environmental protection, health, foreign investments, the developmental state and varieties of capitalism. Paško Bilić was the moderator of the session entitled Intersectoral Approaches and Policy Implications. He also gave a presentation under the title Sociology of Digital Transformation in the European Union, in which he presented the preliminary results of research on the Croatian Science Foundation’s project Digital Data, Infrastructures and Development (DEVELOPER).
