Dr Jaka Primorac, Scientific Advisor at the Department for Culture and Communication, participated in the tenth anniversary edition of the Green Academy, held in Komiža on the island of Vis, Croatia. This year’s edition was titled “Life in the Time of Monsters: Building Counter-power” and took place from August 21 to 26, 2026. The Green Academy is organised by the Institute for Political Ecology (IPE) in Zagreb, with the support of numerous international and domestic partner organisations. The program featured a series of lectures, panel discussions, seminars, and workshops, attended by around two hundred participants from across the globe representing academia, civil society organisations, political groups, and cultural and educational networks. The Green Academy is a political education program run by the Institute for Political Ecology that has been held on the island of Vis since 2010.
