As part of the participatory process for drafting the “Cultural Development Program of the City of Rijeka 2025–2029,” the second and third workshops were held on April 8 and 9, 2025, at the Children’s House in Rijeka. These workshops focused on defining strategic elements for the future development of culture.
The second workshop was dedicated to creating a vision, priorities, and specific objectives. Through individual and group work, participants analyzed the current state of Rijeka’s cultural landscape. They identified elements of the vision, priorities, and objectives to be included in the development of the Cultural Development Program. The third workshop focused on formulating measures and activities that will serve as the foundation for shaping the strategic framework of the City of Rijeka’s Cultural Development Program for the period 2025–2029.
The workshops were led by the team from the Department for Culture and Communication of the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) – Dr. Dea Vidović, Dr. Ana Žuvela, as well as Sunčana Franić and Lucija Gegić.
The City of Rijeka has initiated the development of the Cultural Development Program 2025–2029 in cooperation with IRMO experts, implementing it through a participatory process that includes relevant stakeholders. As part of this process, workshops are being held with around 50 participants from Rijeka’s cultural sector, who responded to a public call for participation.
