The 15th Annual International Small Cinemas Conference has concluded. Organized by the Department of Culture and Communication at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in collaboration with the Zagreb Film Festival (ZFF) and the Academy of Dramatic Art (ADU), the conference brought together scholars, researchers, and experts in film studies and cultural policy, focusing on the phenomenon of small film markets. The conference program covered a wide range of topics, including discussions on the impact of global streaming platforms, film production innovations, distribution challenges, and policies for promoting production in smaller film industries.
Following the conference, a book of abstracts has been published, featuring summaries of all presentations and research discussed during the event. The publication offers valuable insights into key topics such as regional cinematographies, transnational film production, and the impact of digitalization on film distribution and exhibition.
The book of abstracts is available on the official conference website and serves as a significant resource for anyone interested in further exploring this specific segment of film culture.
