Upon the launch of the CULTURELINK Centre for Research in Cultural Policy, Development and Cooperation at IRMO, on September 24th, 2024, Professor Steven Hadley, an award-winning cultural policy scholar from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland held a lecture titled “Cultural Policy Realism – What is to be Done? as part of the Culturelink Guest Lecture Series

During his visit to Zagreb, Kulturpunkt journalist Ana Abramović interviewed Dr. Steven Hadley. In the interview, Professor Hadley discusses the challenges caused by repeating existing cultural policy patterns, leading to stagnation and hindering sector progress. He emphasizes the need for adaptive, innovative approaches and for more responsible resource management to support projects and institutions effectively.
